Control linkage pin, clevis, yoke, rod, or coupler. These parts translate a lever's or pedal's motion into machine motion, so a worn pin or elongated clevis hole shows up as play or delayed response at the control rather than an obvious failure. Replace pins and their retaining hardware together, and check for free movement through full travel after installation.
