Commodity fastener — bolt, screw, or cap screw. Match thread size, length, and grade to the original before installing, and torque to the service manual spec; over-tightening strips threads and under-tightening lets the fastener work loose under vibration. Where several fasteners share a joint, replace and torque them as a set rather than one at a time.
